Toll Trip Checker · NSW · General information, not advice

How to dispute a toll charge in NSW: audit your statement first.

Pick your motorway, vehicle class, and trips per week. The checker shows the published per-trip fare where we have one, your weekly and annual estimate, and exactly what to check on your statement. It runs in your browser: no account, no card, and it never touches your toll account.

This tool covers: published per-trip toll fares for NSW motorways, where this site has a verified figure; weekly and annual cost estimates from those figures; and the checklist of errors the paid audit looks for (duplicates, wrong vehicle class, ghost trips).

It does NOT cover: live pricing, legal or financial advice, or a promise to find you money. Toll prices change: verify any figure against the operator's current schedule before acting on it.

General information only. Not legal or financial advice.

Published fares on this page were checked against the operators' schedules on 2026-10-04. Tolls are adjusted quarterly: verify the current figure against the operator before acting on it. Each line on your statement is one toll point; a trip through several points is billed per point. The paid audit checks every line of your statement by hand, and your report arrives by email within 5 business days.

The short answer: download your statement and check each line against the published fare for that toll point and travel date. If you find a duplicate charge, a wrong vehicle class, or a trip you did not take, dispute it with your provider first, then its customer advocate, then the Tolling Customer Ombudsman. Keep records: your statement is your evidence. General information only.

GANTRY · SAMPLE STATEMENT AUDIT

SYNTHETIC DATA · SAMPLE ONLY
ACCOUNT NSW-PERS-0042 PERIOD 01 to 30 SEP 2026 LINES 4 SHOWN

Charged for a toll you did not use? Download your statement (free from your provider) and scan for the three common errors: duplicate charges minutes apart, the wrong vehicle class, and trips on roads you never drove. The sample docket above shows what each one looks like. No account or card needed to look: your provider must give you the statement.

FLAGGED FOR REVIEW  $5.49 Fictional sample: shows the kind of findings an audit produces, not proof it works on your statement. Every flagged item is for you to verify before you dispute it.

How it works

How does the Gantry audit work?

STEP 1

Send your statement

Download your monthly statement (CSV or PDF) from your toll provider, free, or forward your statement email to the intake address issued with your order. Usually just a few minutes.

STEP 2

Every line checked

Each toll point is checked against the published fare: duplicates, wrong vehicle class, and rebate weeks you may have missed. Flagged lines are explained in plain words.

STEP 3

You verify, then dispute

You get the audit report, and the dispute letter templates if you take Plus. You verify every flag before anything is disputed: your call, your letters.

What every line is checked against

The audit compares each toll point on your statement against the published fare for its travel date. These are the published sources we use:

Fares are adjusted quarterly, so the audit always uses the fare published for the date of travel. We never promise to find you money.

Fit check

Is a toll audit right for you?

No account, no email needed. Answer honestly: a wrong fit gets a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

1. Is your toll account a personal account in your own name, not a business or fleet account?
Not a fit, and that's fine. Gantry only audits personal NSW toll accounts. For business or fleet accounts, your toll provider's business team can review the charges.
2. Is your vehicle a Class A car registered in NSW for private use, not a truck, bus, taxi, rideshare, or delivery vehicle?
Not a fit. Class B and commercial vehicles are outside our scope, and outside the NSW toll relief rebate too. Your toll provider can check your vehicle class.
3. Can you download your statement (CSV or PDF) from your toll provider's site or app?
No problem. Skip the download: use the forward-your-statement-email option issued at checkout.

Looks like a fit. The free sample above shows the shape of it; the paid audit is A$19 one-off.

Intake

How do I send my statement for audit?

01 · DOWNLOAD YOUR STATEMENTGrab your monthly statement (CSV or PDF) from your toll provider's site or app: free, usually just a few minutes. Then attach it at checkout.
02 · OR FORWARD YOUR EMAILRather not download? Forward your statement email to the intake address issued with your order.
03 · WE AUDIT, YOU VERIFYEvery line checked, findings explained in plain words, dispute pack where warranted. You verify before you dispute.
  • What you send: your toll statement file (CSV or PDF), or your forwarded statement email.
  • What we do with it: run the audit checks and write your report. Nothing else.
  • When we delete it: your statement is deleted after your audit is delivered. Never stored, shared, or sold.

Claim calendar

When can I claim the NSW toll relief rebate?

NSW toll relief claims open quarterly and expire. The bit most people miss: spend of more than $50 in a week [verified 2026-10-04] can be rebated, but unclaimed money is lost. The weekly cap changed from $60 to $50 on 6 July 2026 and applies for 12 months [verified 2026-10-04]. Gantry flags weeks that may qualify.

The honest bit

Why pay for an audit when the statement is free?

Free: do it yourself after the demo

  • Your statement is free to download from your toll provider: the sample docket above shows you what to look for.
  • The NSW toll relief rebate is claimed free through Service NSW: never pay anyone to lodge it.
  • Your provider's customer advocate can review billing disputes at no cost: check their site for how to lodge one.

What the full audit adds

  • Every toll point on your statement checked, not just the ones you noticed.
  • Dispute letters written for you, referencing your provider's published contract terms.
  • Rebate weeks tracked against the claim calendar, so qualifying weeks are harder to miss.

If the free path covers you, that's the right call, genuinely. The audit exists for the statement you keep meaning to check and never do. We don't promise to find you money: some statements are clean, and that's a good result too.

What does the A$19 audit include?

Proactive vs reactive: how Gantry compares to the free paths

Every free path below only acts after you notice something wrong. Gantry goes looking: every line checked against the published fare, before you knew to ask. If the free path covers you, use it: that is the honest recommendation.

Service NSW: dispute a toll notice

  • The free official path to lodge an objection if a toll notice is wrong.
  • Reactive: you have to find the error yourself first.

Tolling Customer Ombudsman

  • Free and independent: the last stop after your provider and its customer advocate.
  • Gantry never replaces the ombudsman.
  • Tolling Customer Ombudsman

What Gantry adds

  • Proactive line-by-line check you will not do by hand: duplicates, wrong vehicle class, missed rebate weeks.
  • Dispute letter templates (Plus, only if warranted) quoting your provider's own contract terms.
  • No promise of finding money: a clean statement is a good result.

Keep the escalation order. If an audit finds something: first your toll provider, then its customer advocate, then the Tolling Customer Ombudsman (free), then NSW Fair Trading or NCAT. Gantry prepares your letters; you lodge them.

Dear billing team,

On 6 September 2026 my statement shows two identical Lane Cove Tunnel charges ($3.95 each) minutes apart, for a single trip. The published Class A fare for this toll point is $3.95. Please review and reverse the duplicate charge, and confirm the correction in writing.

The honest guarantee. We don't promise to find you money. If your statement is clean, the audit says so, and that's a good result. Refunds: no change-of-mind refunds. ACL consumer guarantees apply: if the audit report has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Full refund terms.
The test we're running. If fewer than 3% of sample docket views turn into paid audits across our first 500 sample views, we retire Gantry and publish what we learned. The gate is set before we start.

Gantry is: a line-by-line check of your statement against published fares, with flagged items explained in plain words. Gantry is not: a dispute agent, a law firm, a refund service, or a promise of finding money. It never lodges a rebate claim for you, and it never touches your toll account.

Straight answers

Answers, line by line.

How do I dispute a toll charge in NSW?
Download your statement and check each line against the published fare for that toll point and travel date. If you find a duplicate charge, a wrong vehicle class, or a trip you did not take, dispute it with your provider first, then its customer advocate, then the Tolling Customer Ombudsman. Keep records: your statement is your evidence. General information only.
I was charged for a toll I didn't use. What should I do?
Download your statement (free from your provider) and scan for the three common errors: duplicate charges minutes apart, the wrong vehicle class, and trips on roads you never drove. If a line does not match a trip you took, raise it with your provider in writing before you pay the next bill. The sample docket on this page shows what each error looks like.
How do I get a toll refund in NSW?
If a charge is wrong, your provider refunds it after a successful dispute, so raise it with them first. Separately, the NSW toll relief scheme rebates part of your toll spend: claims open quarterly through Service NSW, and spend of more than $50 in a week can be rebated (verified 2026-10-04). The claim calendar on this page shows when each window opens and closes.
How do I check my toll history?
Download your statement from your toll provider's site or app: it is free, usually as a CSV or PDF. Linkt and Transport for NSW E-Toll both let you export your trip history. That exported file is what the Gantry audit checks line by line.
What if my number plate was misread?
Video tolling matches your number plate when you have no tag, and misreads happen. If a charge does not match your travel, dispute it with your provider and include your tag history or any evidence of where you were. Providers correct genuine misreads. If they will not, escalate to the Tolling Customer Ombudsman.
What is the Tolling Customer Ombudsman?
The Tolling Customer Ombudsman is a free, independent dispute service for tolling complaints: the last stop after your provider and its customer advocate. Gantry never replaces the ombudsman; the audit gives you the line-by-line evidence to take to them instead.
How do I avoid toll admin fees?
Toll notice administration fees are being phased out from July 2026 (verified 2026-10-04), replaced by digital reminders. Until the phase-out is complete, pay toll notices promptly and keep your tag or account details current with your provider to avoid extra charges.
Do you guarantee you'll find errors?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Some statements are clean, and knowing that is worth something too. We flag what looks wrong for you to verify; we never promise a dollar outcome. The audit reports what the numbers say, line by line, and leaves the judgment to you.
Will you dispute charges for me?
No. The dispute letters are templates quoting your provider's own contract terms. You decide what to send, and you send it yourself. If you want someone to act for you, that is a different service. We prepare the evidence and the wording; the sending is yours.
Do I pay anything today?
Yes: A$19 one-off via Stripe, AUD GST included. After payment you land on your download page with the self-audit pack, and you can arrange the done-for-you audit by emailing your statement and payment receipt to fairformco@gmail.com. Your audit report arrives by email within 5 business days.
What does the A$19 cover?
The full audit report on your statement (every line item explained in plain words) plus a toll relief rebate eligibility check against the claim calendar. One-off, AUD GST included, no subscription. It does not include the dispute letter templates: those are the Plus pack (A$39), offered only after your audit if we find something worth disputing.
How do I get the done-for-you audit?
Email your monthly statement (CSV or PDF from your toll provider) and your payment receipt to fairformco@gmail.com. Your audit report arrives by email within 5 business days: every line checked against the published fare, flagged items explained in plain words, rebate weeks checked against the claim calendar. Your statement is deleted after delivery.
How do refunds work?
No change-of-mind refunds. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply: if the audit report has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Request one by replying to your order email, and the terms page sets out how major failures are assessed.
Is this legal or financial advice?
No. General information only. The dispute letters are templates quoting your provider's own contract terms: you decide what to send. Gantry never promises to find you money; it lists what the numbers say. For advice about your situation, talk to a lawyer or financial counsellor.
